The actual foundation for the family business Nobleza del Sur was laid in 1640 by Miguel Sánchez Sagra, a direct ancestor of today's manufacturer. Because Miguel Sánchez Sagra not only acquired the first part of the estate, which is still managed by the family today, but also instilled a love of olive growing in his descendants.
Today, 12 generations later, the Peñuelas-Sagra family owns its own oil mill and more than 300 hectares of olive groves. Because the olive forests are all in Jaén, in Andalusia, but in different areas, different olive oils can be produced. After all, every olive and thus also the oil pressed from it is shaped by its location, the soil conditions and the climate.

The popular and award-winning Centenarium Premium comes from the finca "Vista Alegre", which is located in the heart of Jaen. The area scores with a special, Mediterranean microclimate, which is partly responsible for the unique aroma and taste nuances of the fruity, pure olive juice.
The olives for the sweet unique Arbequina Premium are harvested on the "El Campillo" finca. It is located in the low mountain range and is surrounded by numerous native plants that also run through the olive grove. In addition to its pleasant mildness, El Campillo's extra virgin olive oil is reminiscent of the wild herbs of the natural olive forest, which also influence its aroma.
For the special Organic Olive Oil Virgen extra Ecológico Night, the fresh fruits are harvested from different, specially selected plots of olive forests. As a reminder of how pesticide use affects wildlife, Eco-Night is represented by an endangered moth.

The picked fruits are not kept for long, but are carefully processed in the oil mill after four hours at the latest. This prevents oxidation and you can look forward to wonderful, fruity aromas.
